WGA East ceremony lengthy on laughs

By JILL GOLDSMITH Raucous humor in the B.B. King House of Blues was fond of the numerous Authors Guild Award those who win who elected to gather statuettes in La on Sunday. Meanwhile Mandy Patinkin uncovered a large blooper and Rachel Dratch performed the cello in the New England edition from the Authors Guild Honours, which held synchronised events in Gotham and L.A. In NY, nobody understood who had been or wasn't in the home, meaning hosts and visitors scanned everyone else after each envelope was opened up searching for decisive movement for the stage. ''I'm likely to accept on their behalf,'' presenter Jimmy Fallon stated. ''You know, after i purchased a typewriter my mother stated I had been a jackass. Who's the jackass now, mother?'' he stated, declaring statuettes for that absent Heath Corson and Richie Keen. The duo won for Web series ''Aim High'' within the Original New Media category. ''Saturday Evening Live's'' Seth Meyers, waiting with one statue in each hands, stated, ''I seem like I am inside a horror movie and I must hold this stuff or everyone dies.'' ''Writers Guild Honours,'' sang Fallon towards the tune of ''Riders around the Storm,'' supported by comedian and actress Dratch, the evening's host. She welcomed everyone else of ''writers, and those that do not have social problems.'' ''What's up Authors Guild? How 'bout individuals wings?'' cracked Jon Benjamin sprawled on the ground together with his microphone. ''It's difficult to write a brand new series. It's difficult to create anything really. I authored this. I authored what I am reading through at this time. It had been very hard.'' ''Homeland'' star Patinkin recognized the show's win for the best new series with fond words for scribes. ''I'm just an actress. I'm nothing special. An actress is just just like what they've around the page before them, and anybody who informs you in a different way is filled with shit,'' he stated. But he blew his top after being known as back later by film writer Terry George to simply accept the Episodic TV award for that ''Breaking Bad'' seg ''Box Cutter,'' which tied with ''The Good Soldier'' episode of ''Homeland.'' ''I have no clue what this show is,'' Patinkin stated. Peering in the envelope, he yelled to George after recognizing it would be a tie. ''How many drinks perhaps you have had? You need to see clearly all,'' he screamed. ''I guess I am not receiving employment on 'Homeland','' George responded. Judd Apatow, finding the Plant Sargent Award for Comedy Excellence, made an appearance bemused with a montage of his photos featuring mostly hardons and individuals getting hit within the mind while making love. ''It was too lengthy. Also it stated some repetitions during my work,'' he stated. Presenting Apatow, Kristen Wiig thanked ''My friend B.B King, for hosting theses honours at his lovely home.'' It had been the ceremony's very first time in the Occasions Square venue. Daytime TV author and creator of ''Ryan's Hope'' Claire Labine, champion from the Ian McLellan Hunter Award, decried the decline from the genre. ''I am appalled more care wasn't taken with this particular form which i love a great deal,'' she stated. A self-declared very drunk presenter Jonathan Ames, ranted about Cinemax eliminating his series ''Bored to Dying,'' dissed comedy series champion ''Modern Family'' and declared ''I don't' understand what is happening within the alternate world of La. But we've Mandy Patinkin here to simply accept everybody's award.'' WGA East prexy Michael Winship gave a jerk to press freedom and journalists arrested covering Occupy Wall Street protests, and also to NY Occasions reporter Anthony Shadid who died in Syria a week ago. Another from the WGA East's people are broadcast news authors. Stephen Colbert's team, which won comedy/variety series for ''The Colbert Report,'' compensated homage for their boss Colbert who ''writes just like a mofo.''
